Flowers, Friends & Food Trucks

Summer is here and what better way to kick it off than a Food Truck Fiesta!

I’m talking: live music, magical atmosphere and let’s not forget tons of food.

I must admit, my Friday nights are usually quite a bore. But I am glad to say that it seems like the game is changing in PE a bit, especially for individuals who aren’t into your typical ‘night life’ (clubs) like me.

It’s incredible, and I believe I’ve said this before, how creatives are able to influence culture into a proactive, positive and productive way.

I mean I think it is highly important for people with the same interests and overall vibe to be able to find a place where they feel like they belong.

What can be highlighted from The Baakens Foodtruck Friday is that it excludes no-one, it is open to everyone of all ages – there is an activity for anyone to enjoy, no-one goes uncatered for.

I can easily put The First Baakens Food Truck Friday in my Top 5 go-to’s of the year.

I guess that’s a common thing for people to prematurely say when they come back from events, but  in all honestly I have never enjoyed myself, met so many new people and bonded with current friends this year as I did in one night.

I am often asked how and why I decide on my outfits when I either go out, attend events etc and honestly that is probably the easiest to answer. As an individual it is extremely important to know yourself but also take note of the event you’re attending.

For instance, The Baakens Food Truck Friday is an outdoor affair that will go into the night so comfortability is key but also keeping in mind that you will be meeting a lot of new people you need to dress in a way that represents who you are as a person and your “brand”.

I am known as a flowerchild, hippy but not exactly hippy if that makes any sense – haha.

I just think it is extremely important to be you and never compromise that.

A huge mention needs to go to Tayla Foong and all who are involved in the planning and execution of The Baakens Food Truck Friday.

To much more Food Truck fun!

stay beautiful, stay blessed
